AsIAm is delighted to host an online workshop series as a Grant-Funded member with the Disability Participation and Consultation Network. These workshops focus on the topic of self-advocacy and advocating your rights within the Autistic community and using effectively engaging with your community and with policymakers as a tool for advocating for your rights. These are four sessions which will cover the same content. Our fourth and final session for 2023 will take place on Thursday 16th November from 7:00pm - 8:30pm, online over Zoom. But for volunteer and not-for-profit organizations carrying out a meaningful and impactful project can be daunting. In a virtual discussion hosted by the Outdoor Recreation Council of BC, a panel of experts will show that stewardship is doable for any group. The webinar will define stewardship, show the value of projects for the public and the people doing the good work, help groups identify projects that fit with their expertise and highlight the support and funding that’s out there.
