Description

In honour of National Housing Day on November 22nd, the Rural Ontario Institute (ROI) is hosting a webinar, “Accessing Housing Data in Rural Ontario." Currently, there is a shortage of proper housing data in rural Ontario. The lack of adequate data is a barrier to the planning and construction of more social and affordable housing in rural communities. During this webinar, you will hear from ROI’s Senior Data Analyst, Danielle Letang and RHIS Data Analyst & Trainer, Charlotte Craig, as they share online housing data resources such as ROI’s Rural Ontario Facts Housing Dashboard and Factsheet, and the Rural Housing Information System (RHIS), a centralized data tool developed to fill the housing information gap. These resources can be used to support municipalities, developers, and homebuilders in the planning and development of affordable housing in their communities. After the presentations, there will be a Q&A session from the audience.
