Business > Office Productivity webinar by Autodesk for Make Consumer Product Designs less time consuming
Make Consumer Product Designs less time consuming
Taking ideas to market is more challenging than ever before. Companies strain to ideate quickly and collaborate effectively while designing their products. They also struggle with turning that design package or tech pack into physical tooling and products quickly for their customers. All this leads to a longer time to market. However, it doesn’t have to be this way.Autodesk Fusion is revolutionizing the industry with accessible-to-all, easy-to-use cutting-edge technologies and tools that modernize the way engineering teams design consumer products. These tools allow companies to realize:Faster ideationBetter collaboration A smoother handoff to productionThis enables designers, engineers, and developers to focus on what they do best but execute more quickly. All of this, of course, is to gain an advantage and beat their competitors to market. Join us LIVE to hear about current industry trends and drivers from Nick Lieven, Autodesk’s industry manager for consumer products. Then, Jason Lichtman, Senior Technical Specialist will demonstrate how Fusion can help your business speed up, streamline and unify your design to manufacturing workflow. This webinar is an excellent resource for Product Design Managers, Design and Development Engineers, Product Designers, Industrial Designers, Project Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Developers working on consumer products.Speakers: Nick Lieven (Industry Manager Consumer Products, Autodesk) and Jason Lichtman (Sr. Technical Sales Specialist, Autodesk).

Environment > Disaster Preparedness webinar by WADEM for Health System Surge Capacity and Response to a Sudden Conflict
Health System Surge Capacity and Response to a Sudden Conflict
At 06:29 on 7 October 2023, Hamas forces attacked southern Israel from Gaza. The attacks resulted in over 3,000 casualties (wounded and dead) who were brought to hospitals, created a massive surge of patients, and pushed the capacity of hospitals to respond in the area to the brink. That day was a national holiday, and most healthcare facilities had reduced staffing. The first casualties arrived within an hour at the two closest medical facilities (level 1 and level 2 trauma centers), located approximately 40 and 20 km from the attacked sites. The Ministry of Health (MoH) Emergency Operation Center (EOC) and the Home Front Command (HFC) coordinated patient management and transfers in and between hospitals and field evacuations by ambulances and military forces. The inflow of casualties to the hospitals under rocket attack, the absence of staff, and the distance from other medical facilities in the country created challenges for the local staff and the MoH. This presentation will provide an initial analysis of what happened, provide insights from the management level, and share lessons learned.Speaker: Odeda Benin-Goren, PhD (CEO of ODRON)

Business > Supply Chain webinar by International Trade Council for Currency Fluctuations Affecting Trade
Currency Fluctuations Affecting Trade
This seminar will focus on the current fluctuations in the current currency markets, especially between Mexico and the United States and Latin American countries, as well as Europe and Asia. Recently, disparities in changes and fluctuations have affected both manufacturers and importers, as well as global remittances, tourism, and standard trade. While many issues are unavoidable, there are situations that can be mitigated to the beneficial satisfaction of both parties, so long as contracts are amended within reason and issued according to international standards. This seminar dives into the deeper side of contractual agreements and the understanding of how currency fluctuations can become an unrecognized variable in the course of doing business. The course will focus on both the reasons for fluctuations and how you can mitigate and provide trade options so that the original contracts and agreements remain unaffected.Speakers:Jonathan Hans Pappie, CEO, VX Global Inc.Lady-An Cuerdo, Trade Commissioner, International Trade Council
