Bringing Ophthalmology Trials into Focus: Reducing Patient Burden, Improving Efficiency and Incorporating Cell and Gene Therapy
Discover an informative webinar exploring patient-centered approaches shaping ophthalmology trials, uniting stakeholders for better treatments and outcomes. Clinical trials in ophthalmology require special considerations at every stage, including trial design, recruitment strategies, patient outreach and engagement, assessments and data collection and management of investigational products or devices. The key to success is putting the patients and their caregivers at the center when considering the overall approach to the trial. This panel session is fortunate to include the father of a child affected by Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) and will open with the perspective of a parent and active patient advocate. The speakers will address advances in trial design specific to rare/genetic diseases of the eye, with a focus on cell and gene therapy, the need to work collaboratively in this space to match advanced therapeutic trial design to the unique needs of investigating ocular diseases and how new perspectives on patient centricity is leading to the evolution of these trials. Join this webinar to gain insights into how sponsors, service providers, investigator sites, caregivers and patient advocacy groups can work together to accelerate the pace of bringing new treatments to these patients, for better outcomes and improved quality of life. Healthcare webinar by Northeast Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Consortium (NEALS) for National ALS Registry: Learn How You Can Join the Fight Against ALS
National ALS Registry: Learn How You Can Join the Fight Against ALS
The National ALS Registry is a multi-faceted research platform. Launched in 2010, the Registry evaluates the public health burden of ALS by determining who has ALS in the United States as well as investigating the causes and risk factors for this disease. The Registry also connects persons with ALS with clinical trials and epidemiological studies, funds research domestically and globally, and has a biorepository (i.e., National ALS Biorepository) where persons with ALS can donate their blood and saliva for research. This webinar will inform and educate persons with ALS and caregivers the importance of joining and being counted. Persons with ALS are the heart of the National ALS Registry and their data allows researchers to gain insight and advance research on genetics, biomarkers, and environmental exposures. With your help, we can potentially determine what causes and implement prevention measures in the future.

Healthcare webinar by Premier Research for Checkpoint Revolution: Navigating New Frontiers in Cancer Immunotherapy
Checkpoint Revolution: Navigating New Frontiers in Cancer Immunotherapy
Discover an informative webinar on checkpoint inhibitors in cancer immunotherapy, exploring immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), FDA-approved therapies, combination treatments and strategies to predict patient responses in cancer treatment. Since their initial approval in 2011 for metastatic melanoma, ICIs have changed the treatment paradigm in oncology. To date, eight ICIs and 35 ICI-based combination immunotherapies have been approved by The FDA across diverse tumor types. First-line programmed cell death protein 1/programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-1/PD-L1) inhibitors have become increasingly common for the treatment of metastatic cancer, with significant survival benefits. Still, while a subset of patients exhibit deep, durable responses to these therapeutics, the majority do not respond to single-agent ICIs and many experience immune-related adverse events. To improve the efficacy and safety of ICIs and advance the understanding of the molecular pathways that cause cancer resistance, it is crucial to find new, effective and tolerable combination treatments. In this webinar, the featured speakers will explore the latest advancements in ICI and discuss strategies for expanding the use of these novel therapeutics. Join this webinar to discover insights shaping cancer treatment and learn about the impact of ICIs, patient responses and the future of ICI therapies.
