Use of Containers for Custom Software Development at the NCI for AWS Cloud and On Premises
Are you designing custom software for cancer research and looking for better ways to package, deliver, and store that software for the cloud? If so, you’ll want to attend this Containers and Workflows Interest Group (GWIG) webinar for tips on how to use technologies like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), and AWS Fargate. NCI CBIIT’s Mr. Krish Seshadri, senior cloud architect, and Mr. Lawrence Brem, federal manager for software development, will offer tips on how to: leverage technologies, such as Docker, within today’s cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Amazon ECS, and AWS Fargate), produce images as well as package and bundle code using Docker Build, and develop content for Drupal (a content management system) using Docker. This webinar is part of the monthly CWIG webinar series. CWIG brings together data scientists, bioinformaticians, computer scientists, and researchers to learn more about cloud computing and container technologies, workflows, and pipelines that could drive cancer data science.
