Healthcare webinar by Child Health Task Force for Tools for Integrated Management of Childhood Illness
Tools for Integrated Management of Childhood Illness
When sick children arrive at primary health care facilities, it is critical that they are appropriately screened, diagnosed, managed, and if needed, referred for urgent care without delay. Clinical signs alone do not detect all severe illness in children. For health care providers to make a correct diagnosis, they must be equipped with the right tools, including access to pulse oximetry and clinical decision support systems. In many countries, these critical tools are not available, not functioning properly, or providers lack appropriate training. There is also no clear global guidance to help countries in choosing the best devices, nor is information available on their cost-effectiveness or suitability in primary care.Between 2019 and 2024, the Tools for Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (TIMCI) initiative, led by PATH in collaboration with a consortium of partners and funded by Unitaid, worked together with the governments of India, Kenya, Senegal, and Tanzania to improve access to critical tools that help frontline health workers identify and appropriately manage children who are severely ill. This work included large-scale, multi-country, mixed-method evaluation conducted to address evidence gaps and inform national and international decision-making on scale-up of pulse oximetry and clinical decision support algorithms.Join us to review the cross-country results, interpretations, as well as key takeaways from the TIMCI studies, which can be helpful to decision-makers and implementers in further assessing national and global strategies for effectively embedding pulse oximetry and CDSAs as part of wider efforts to strengthen quality of care.

Revolutionize Healthcare & Life Sciences with EY and ServiceNow’s Digital Health Platform
Churchill once said, “Out of intense complexities, intense simplicities emerge.”He meant that during challenging times, extreme focus reveals solutions right in front of companies. Despite ongoing tech investments, only 1 in 10 drugs gets commercialized, with costs soaring. Healthcare and life sciences companies are struggling and need future-proof ways to unlock organizational creativity. Worse, less than 20% of executives feel prepared to handle increasing complexities and challenges. What if you could connect people, departments, functions, and ecosystems to drive successful outcomes with a unified digital foundation? What if you could reignite innovation, reach more patients, and control costs?Introducing ServiceNow’s Digital Health Platform: a unified, industry-centric solution enabling H&LS customers to meet global disruption challenges.Save your seat and learn how to advance life sciences by leveraging EY’s expertise and ServiceNow’s transformative offerings.

Healthcare webinar by The Pathologist for The Impact of Prior Single-Gene Testing on Comprehensive Genomic Profiling Results, Practical Considerations for Personalized Cancer Care
The Impact of Prior Single-Gene Testing on Comprehensive Genomic Profiling Results, Practical Considerations for Personalized Cancer Care
For patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), tissue samples are typically small biopsies. These samples undergo standard of care evaluation for >10 biomarkers to identify targeted, personalized therapies. If only single-gene tests are ordered, it is unlikely all biomarkers will be successfully tested. Furthermore, the patient may not be able to get a second biopsy for comprehensive testing. Ordering single-gene tests before comprehensive profiling creates longer wait times for results, which can be problematic for selecting optimal treatment.Join Drs. Kyle C. Strickland and Rebecca A. Previs from Labcorp Oncology’s Medical Affairs team for this webinar to hear about tissue stewardship from a pathologist and oncologist’s perspectives. We will review our latest data from advanced NSCLC which demonstrate that single-gene testing, if performed prior to comprehensive genomic profiling, doubles comprehensive genomic profiling failures due to tissue insufficiency and DNA extraction failures. We will share best practices to optimize tissue utilization and ensure patients with advanced NSCLC receive all recommended biomarker testing.Learning Objectives:• Describe the various tissue testing methodologies available for evaluation of biomarkers for patients with advanced NSCLC.• Compare biomarker testing paradigms with single gene testing and comprehensive genomic profiling to describe benefits and pitfalls of each strategy.• Integrate best practices for tissue stewardship to optimize biomarker testing in advanced NSCLC.Speakers: Kyle Strickland, MD, PhD (Labcorp Oncology, Director, Medical Affairs and Adjunct Associate Professor, Duke University Medical Center, Duke Cancer Institute, Department of Pathology, Labcorp), Rebecca Previs, MD, MS (Labcorp Oncology, Director, Medical Affairs and Adjunct Assistant Professor, Duke University Medical Center, Duke Cancer Institute, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Labcorp).

Clinical Trials webinar by European Pharmaceutical Review for Defining the right digital strategy for oncology: What do you want to measure?
Defining the right digital strategy for oncology: What do you want to measure?
In this webinar, find out how to optimise oncology clinical trials using digital tools to accelerate decision-making.Oncology clinical trials present some of the most complex challenges across clinical research, impacting enrolment, efficiency, and access. Thankfully, our industry is afforded a unique opportunity to address these issues with the evolving regulatory landscape, the burgeoning field of digital health technologies (DHTs), and the increasing adoption of decentralised and digital trial methods. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)’s recent guidance on Direct-to-Patient (DTP) approaches, electronic Patient-Reported Outcomes (ePROs), and DHTs paves the way for incorporating patient-centric digital tools into trials.According to PwC, the use of DHTs in clinical trials has grown by 97 percent within the last five years, and Tufts recognises that the appetite for collecting digital endpoints has doubled every three years since 2015.As DHTs begin to help researchers define the new normal, it’s important to have the right strategy to define how you collect the right data to improve efficiency and experience. Learn how top 10 pharmaceutical companies are using a combination of DHTs, ePROs, clinical trial platforms and more, to ease oncology research and drastically reduce timelines. Key learning points- The right questions to ask your team to help define a digital strategy as part of your clinical development programme. - Why the expanded use of digital measures and biomarkers will continue to accelerate clinical development timelines.- How global pharmaceutical companies are benefiting from Medable’s novel approaches and technology to accelerate decision-making in oncology.Speaker: Musaddiq Khan – Vice President, Customer Value – Digital Outcomes & TA Strategy at Medable
