Description

We know there are life-changing benefits for young people who participate in sports and physical activity. And we – like you – want to keep them enjoying and participating in PE for as long as possible.

We also know it can be helpful to provide students with a pathway to move from broad general education to senior phase to help them make the most of the PE curriculum.

Sports Leaders (and Dance Leaders) are programmes developed to help provide this pathway.

During curriculum time, learners can take these additional qualifications, which aim to develop essential leadership skills (such as communication, teamwork and organisation) whilst engaging in PE. They can then build on their work to move from a Level 4 to a Level 5 in dance leadership, or Level 6 qualification in sports leadership, progressing into the senior phase with additional skills under their belt for their future.

What you will learn

Join us to understand how the Sports or Dance Leaders Programmes can:

  • Complement and enhance the PE curriculum in your school.

  • Give students further qualifications (without taking up additional time on your part).

  • Provide students with an additional 14 UCAS points if they undertake the Level 6 in Sports Leadership.

  • Provide Insights points for your school.

  • Contribute to the Scottish Attainment Challenge.

To give us time to answer all questions, spaces are limited to 30 and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.  We look forward to meeting you then!
