Description

Open Science is at the centre of the European Union's research and innovation agenda. It makes scientific research, data, and outputs more accessible to all, aims to remove barriers to sharing knowledge and fosters collaboration across disciplines. Through closer cooperation and transparency, Open Science seeks to democratise knowledge, address global challenges, and drive societal progress. Open Science is a legal obligation under Horizon Europe, based on the principle ‘as open as possible, as closed as necessary’. How familiar are you with the Open Science approach, its practices and enablers?

  • How does Open Science improve collaboration between researchers across different disciplines and countries?

  • What are the main challenges in implementing Open Science practices, and how can they be addressed? How does Open Science contribute to solving global challenges such as climate change or public health crises?

  • What are the ethical considerations in making scientific data openly accessible to the public?

  • How can Open Science promote innovation and accelerate the development of new technologies or solutions?
