Recruiting and retaining the nursing workforce within the social care sector is now more important than ever.

These webinars are designed for those invested in the social care nursing workforce and may be relevant for the nursing workforce, student nurses and nursing associates, as well as social care employers, educators, academics and workforce leads.

With input from key stakeholders, the webinars will explore best practice around the recruitment and retention of the nursing workforce and each will cover a different topic or aspect of recruitment and retention for nursing in social care.

Understanding the opportunities for restorative clinical supervision for nursing in social care

In this session, we will explore the importance of restorative clinical supervision in retaining the nursing workforce.

We will be joined by the Foundation of Nursing Studies and hear about how the Resilience Based Clinical Supervision model is supporting nurses and nursing associates in the sector to enhance well-being, develop resilience and improve person centred care. The session will be joined by panel members from a social care nursing background who have undertaken the training and can share their learning.

Opening the doors to the nursing associate role in the contemporary context of social care

This session offers an opportunity to hear the work of the nursing associate forum on developing the nursing associate role in adult social care.

The national nursing associate forum meets bi-monthly to share good practice in the deployment of nursing associates in the sector. This webinar shares the key learning and opportunities to support the nursing associate role including understanding the scope of practice and Governance surrounding successful implementation of the role. Members of the Forum will be sharing their work and there will be the opportunity to ask questions. You will also have the opportunity to sign up to the forum and join this network.
