This webinar will discuss the mental health crisis in the USA and reimagining care for those with severe mental illnesses. It will highlight the systemic issues, including racial disparities, inadequate care, and alternative models like the Trieste Model. Speakers will discuss the intersection of racism, mental illness, and the criminal justice system, as well as models focused on peer leadership and social justice.
