Advanced Mechanical Cardiac Support and the Role of Therapy
This webinar will cover a variety of topics related to the acute care management of patients with heart failure and who undergo Artificial Heart therapies including ECMO and VAD. Topics will include a brief review of the anatomy, circulatory and respiratory systems, common diagnoses, temporary vs. durable VADs as well as therapy's role in acute care management. We will discuss our progression of therapeutic interventions, interdisciplinary coordination as well as use of frailty assessments as a consideration for overall medical plans.
