It represents over 500 boarding schools, both independent and state-funded, and provides support and guidance to its members. The BSA aims to promote the benefits of boarding education and ensure high standards of care and education for boarding students. It also offers training and accreditation schemes for boarding staff and organizes events and conferences to facilitate networking and professional development in the boarding school community.
