Description

The CSG Justice Center is a national organization that advances safety and second chances. With a dedicated team of more than 140 staff members, we work with state and local officials to develop comprehensive plans to address public safety challenges, reduce recidivism rates, and improve outcomes for individuals involved in the criminal justice system. Our work focuses on a range of topics including corrections, crisis response, economic mobility, families, housing, juvenile justice, law enforcement, mental health, reentry, substance use, and victims. Through rigorous research and collaboration with government leaders, we drive innovation and progress in the criminal justice field, ultimately aiming to create a more just and equitable society.

Responding to the FY 2024 Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program (JMHCP) Solicitation
In this webinar, representatives from the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs' Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center will review the FY 2024 Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program (JMHCP) application process. This grant program provides an anticipated 25 awards in the amount of $550,000 each to city or township governments, county governments, federally recognized Native American Tribal governments, public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, state governments, and mental health agencies for a 36-month project. This project helps entities prepare, create, or expand comprehensive plans to implement collaborative programs for preliminarily qualified people who have come into contact with the criminal justice system and promote public safety and outcomes for people with mental health disorders and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
