Founded in 1939, the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) is an international non-profit organization that promotes the advancement of the science of food to ensure a safe, nutritious, and sustainable food supply for people around the world. IFT offers diverse resources for food professionals, including an annual event and food expo, an online community, a marketplace for food industry solutions, a job board, and the Feeding Tomorrow Foundation, which supports the next generation of food scientists and engineers.
