The International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) aims to improve the quality of life by developing global rehabilitation practice of prosthetic, orthotic, mobility and assistive technology. ISPO brings together professionals, users, associations, organizations, and institutions from over 100 countries worldwide, with an interest in prosthetics, orthotics, wheelchairs, assistive devices, rehabilitation engineering, and related topics. ISPO has worked for more than 50 years to develop the prosthetics, orthotics, and assistive technology sector worldwide. With more than 3000 members from over 100 countries, ISPO Member Societies exist in more than 70 countries around the globe. ISPO is dedicated to continuous professional development, education, and accreditation of prosthetic and orthotic training programs across the world.
